Welcome to The Bunbury Street Chaplains web site. Bunbury Street Chaplains are volunteers who come from a wide variety of Christian churches. The aim is to be Good Samaritans to those in need. Each chaplain undergoes an extensive training course and is required to hold current Apply First Aid (Senior First Aid) and Working with Children Check certification. Chaplains are both male and female, and come from all cultures and nationalities. The organisation is a testimony to unity in diversity. First Aid, providing water bottles, hand wipes and escorting people to taxis are a few of the responsibilities the Street Chaplains fulfill throughout the night on the streets. Often aiding the highly intoxicated or working alongside Police Officers, the Street Chaplains provide care to those who have suffered harm or are lonely and in need.
